Course Overview
This 3-day First Aid at Work course provides an in-depth understanding of workplace first aid, ensuring participants are equipped to handle a wide range of emergencies. The training is designed to help meet the requirements of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, making it ideal for higher-risk workplaces. Upon completion, participants will be fully certified in first aid, ready to respond confidently to any workplace incident.

Certification
Successful participants will receive a First Aid at Work certificate, certified by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB), valid for 3 years.

Course Content
Over the course of 3 days, participants will learn to:

  • Assess and manage incidents – how to evaluate emergencies quickly and effectively.
  • Administer CPR and use an AED – critical life-saving techniques.
  • Treat wounds and bleeding – from minor injuries to severe bleeding and shock management.
  • Handle fractures and spinal injuries – safely support injured individuals.
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies – including heart attacks, strokes, asthma attacks, and allergic reactions.
  • Manage unconscious casualties – safely handle individuals who are unconscious or experiencing seizures.
  • Workplace health and safety regulations – understand the legal obligations for first aiders.

Duration
This is a 3-day course (18 hours), running from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day, with regular breaks.

Location and Delivery
Training can be delivered at your workplace or at our training facility.

Prerequisites
No prior qualifications are required. This course is open to anyone who is physically capable of performing first aid tasks, such as CPR and casualty handling.
